Billy Ray Long, 44, Coxton, died July 23, 2004, at Harlan Appalachian Regional Hospital following a long illness.
He was a lifelong resident of Harlan County and believed in the Pentecostal faith.
He was preceded in death by his father, the Rev. Henry Long; and two brothers-in-law: Roger Pace and Danny Bryant.
Survivors include his mother, Pearlie Robertson Long, Harlan; his wife, Dorothy Kelly Long, Coxton; a daughter, Mia Long Johnson; two grandchildren, Cameron Johnson and David Johnson, all of Tazewell, Tenn.; one brother, the Rev. Perry Long and wife, Loretta, Pounding Mill; six sisters: JoAnn Pace, Berea; Bobbie Hamlin and husband, Floyd, Coxton; Peggy Bryant, Harlan; Aileen Nelson and husband, Michael, Rochelle, Ill.; Polly Osborne and husband, Paul, Dayhoit; and Glenna Blakley and husband, Berry, Coxton; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.
Visitation was Sunday at Harlan Funeral home.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. today at Harlan Funeral Home with the Rev. Ronnie Oplinger and the Rev. Gary Grubbs officiating.
Burial will follow at the Charlie Hensley Cemetery at Smith.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
